The CoffeeCup Swag Shop was built entirely with Shopping Cart Creator Pro and Shopping Cart Designer Pro. All of the features and customizations of the shop you see here can be easily done with these two programs.
Yeah, so we make software. An online shop should be easy for us to make, right? Believe it or not making an easy-to-use store that’s also easy to maintain for the people in office that don’t make software was quite a task. That’s why we decided to make Shopping Cart Creator in the first place.
SCC (as we call it) was born from the desire to make an online store without the need to write code, deal with complex server and payment provider configurations, and without waiting for page after page to load using a hosted system. We wanted to know our data was safe, be able to easily manage our products, and create a look and feel that really matched our main website.
Once the software was ready we just took pictures of all the gear we were selling with a regular digital camera, did a little touch-up work in Photoshop, then added all the products and info in Shopping Cart Creator. Our pixel-master Jason used the graphics from our main website to create a custom theme in Shopping Cart Designer and, once he was happy with the way it looked, we imported the theme into Shopping Cart Creator (with just one click, btw). After a few local previews to make sure it all looked good we simply uploaded it to our server and voila! We were selling our gear.
